Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the 13th annual conference PSR being held in the historical city of Lahore.

PSR was formed in 1995 by few dedicated rheumatologist. Goal was to provide care to patients suffering from rheumatic disease and also to increase awareness about these diseases among physicians and public.

With the hard work, dedication and concerted efforts of members of PSR, the society has come a long way and now by the Grace of God lives of a large number of patients with rheumatic diseases have improved, Also CPSP has recognized rheumatology as specificity for FCPC training. Well done PSR!

We still have a lot of work to do and a long way to go. We must dedicate our se4rvices to the care of the patients as well as put in all efforts to start centers of excellence in training and research in Rheumatology in Pakistan. Inshallah together we will do it and achieve our goals.

This conference will focus on new developments in this field and how these can be applied in the developing world especially South Asia. Experts will present research, share knowledge and discuss current state of art management in various aspects of rheumatic diseases.

I look forward to meeting you all in Lahore and I hope that you will find conference a great learning experience.
